We are proud and honoured to have been able to call Mary our friend for over 40 years. Mary was one of those special people who instinctively knew the right way to say or do something and always rejected the wrong way. She was honourable, honest!, kind, caring, tough, understated, fabulous cook! and always supportive. She had a very successful professional life but she would definitely say that Jane was her (and Hugh’s) greatest achievement. She and Hugh had a marriage to be admired and Hugh’s unstinting care and love for Mary over the past years has been phenomenal. Jane is a credit to them both and has many if not all of Mary’s outstanding qualities. We have loved them all it seems forever. We miss Mary and expect to do so for the rest of our lives. But we are so blessed to have had her as part of our family for so many years. RIP Mary, you deserve it. Much love Alec and Irene
